　　Overview:

　　The Applied Research & Technology (ART) department works with teams around the globe, collaborating with them towards building prototypes, demonstrators, and new products, thereby enabling better innovation and business outcomes for Collins Aerospace.

　　The Emerging Technologies team, part of ART, pursues advanced, emerging, and disruptive technologies and methods relevant to multiple strategic business units (SBUs) with a focus on Python and Advance Software.

　　Major / Primary Responsibilities:

　　Software Application Development in an Agile Product development environment

　　Adhering to Agile Project management methodologies and meet client delivery schedules.

　　Understanding of functional requirements, requirements analysis, Design, and estimation of tasks

　　Development and Coding using Python for Backend.

　　Adhering to coding standards, Unit Testing, and Integration Testing

　　Perform Code review of peers.

　　Secondary Responsibilities:

　　Excellent communication with stakeholders on status/progress of tasks and support calls along with ability to lead conversations about product maturation and direction.

　　Ensuring adherence to Quality management, Quality process and standards, documentation

　　Ensuring that the KRA/KPI points set are met in a time bound fashion.

　　Required Candidate Profile:

　　Expert in Python (minimum 6+ years), with knowledge of at least one Python web framework such as Django, Flask, etc.

　　Familiarity with event-driven programming in Python

　　Writing reusable, testable, and efficient code

　　Design and implementation of low-latency, high-availability, and performant applications

　　Build fault-tolerant, horizontally scalable solutions running in multi-tenant environments.

　　Excellent understanding of low level operating systems concepts including multi-threading, memory management, networking and storage, performance and scale.

　　Strong CS fundamentals including data structures, algorithms, and distributed systems.

　　Strong PySpark knowledge for creation of distributed data processing pipelines.

　　Ability to integrate back end to the front end developed by front end engineers.

　　Good understanding of DevOps principles.

　　Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as Git or SVN.

　　Good Understanding and working knowledge of Docker for containerization.

　　Good Understanding and working knowledge of Kubernetes.

　　Understanding and working knowledge of Java is a good to have skill.

　　Understanding of fundamental design principles behind a scalable application

　　Strong unit test and debugging skills.
