Description Job Title: System Administrator Job Description: We are seeking for a skilled System Administrator to join our IT team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, organizing, modifying, and supporting our company’s computer systems. You will be tasked with managing and maintaining system efficiency, ensuring the design and implementation of IT system is in line with our business objectives. Responsibilities: Install and configure software, hardware and networks. Monitor system performance and troubleshoot any issues encountered. Ensure security and efficiency of IT infrastructure. Manage network servers and technology tools. Set up accounts and workstations. Maintain internal private networks, connections to the Internet and peripheral equipment. Manage IT system infrastructure including Windows servers, business applications, and security/performance monitoring. Maintain integrity of the network, server deployment, and security. Patch management and ensuring the security of IT systems. Train personnel on system and application use. Develop and maintain an emergency plan in case of system failure. Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation related to server and network topology, equipment, and configuration Requirements
Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field. Proven experience as a System Administrator, Network Administrator or similar role. Experience with databases, networks (LAN, WAN) and patch management. Knowledge of system security (e.g. intrusion detection systems) and data backup/recovery. Ability to create scripts in Python, Perl or other language. Familiarity with various operating systems and platforms. Excellent problem-solving and multitasking skills. Strong communication skills and ability to interact effectively with non-technical staff about system related issues. Certification as IT Technician will be an advantage (e.g. CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified IT detail oriented). Must be able to troubleshoot complex hardware and software issues. The System Administrator should be able to diagnose and resolve problems quickly, have the patience to communicate with a variety of interdisciplinary teams and users, and possess a strong desire to learn about new technologies.
