SCOPE: Provide administrative and customer service support for Smith & Wesson Precision Components Business. Responsible for the handling of confidential information, requires good judgment, discretion and sound technical skills. Must be able to work independently and as part of a team on special projects. Must be able to interact and communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization and external customers. Work requires continual
attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, while managing multiple tasks and priorities. Must be able to work with minimal oversight and be self-motivated.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Preparing and typing correspondence with external and internal customers
Handling matters of a confidential nature
Answering and screening telephone calls from current and potential customers
Responsible for maintain all office equipment for job duties (replacing toner, adding paper, programming phone numbers on fax machine, calling in office vendors for repairs as needed)
Onboard of all customers by collecting necessary documents and working with Accounts Receivable and Center of Excellence to setup customer in SAP
Create and maintain Customer Pos
Create and Maintain all Billing Records in SAP for all Customers
Maintain Compliance Records for Customers (FFLs are up to date and serial number lists received)
Prepare purchase orders, proof-read acknowledgements, receive packing slips, and filing
Assisting with budgeting process and compiling data of expenditures
Must have good attention to detail and be able to multitask
Performing tasks and sharing goals as part of a support team with responsibility for areas such as communication, evaluating, analyzing, problem solving and decision-making
Filing, data entry, report generating, data verification and word processing

Education and Experience:
Associates Degree in Business or Related field (preferred) OR equivalent work experience (3 to 5yrs) in performing general office Duties and procedures:
Experience and ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Competencies and Skills
Must be able to read, write, & interpret the English language
Good verbal & written communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, & PowerPoint

Physical Demands:
Must be able to stand, sit, and walk
Long periods of sitting are required, as well as long periods of working on the computer
Occasional lifting up to 30 pounds

Work Environment and Personal Protective Equipment:
Within the Smith & Wesson manufacturing facility, employees may be exposed to manufacturing noise, airborne liquid chemicals, fine particulate dust, ambient temperatures, and industrial lighting. Work environment is similar to most manufacturing operations. May be exposed to excessive noise, temperatures, hazards associated with working around moving machinery, work in confined quarters, exposure to vibrations and shop lighting, continuous exposure to hot temperatures, may be humid, odors, dust, continuous exposure to mechanical hazards, and occasional exposure to chemical hazards.
The following Personal Protective Equipment is required:
Safety glasses with side shields and hearing protection required when on manufacturing floor The use of additional personal protective equipment (PPE) may be required when a job task(s) is being completed in or around your assigned department or in another department, this includes safety eyewear, hearing protection, and safety footwear.
