Summary This vacancy is for a Survey Clerk (OA) position in the Department of Commerce, Denver Regional Office located in Lakewood, CO. This Job Opportunity Announcement may be used to fill other Survey Clerk (OA), 0303, 5, FPL GS-5 positions within the Census Bureau in the same geographical location with the same qualifications and specialized experience. Responsibilities Coordinate a variety of tasks required in the collection, control, field review, and reporting of statistical data obtained in a major survey or a combination of surveys. Provide technical assistance to field staff by using automated tools including locating addresses and/or respondent search through the internet or other search applications including mapping software. Perform automated searches for case status, documentation for case outcomes and follow up with field staff on missing or inadequate case information. Establish working relationships with all levels of management, external parties, and stakeholders. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Specialized Experience: For the GS-5, you must have one year of experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-4 in the Federal service. Experience for this position includes maintaining survey materials, control files, computing ratios, and preparing computerized reports; using Google search or similar search engines, MapQuest, application similar to YellowPages.com, Fast Data Yahoo; using databases such as Access or Excel and conducting searches on specific data elements; reviewing case outcomes and determining if adequate information is provided or if additional follow-up is needed; and experience working and dealing with multiple customers' demands in a professional manner. OR Education: Four years above high school NOTE: Equivalent combinations of education and experience are qualifying for all grade levels for which both education and experience are acceptable.
