Description

　　As a member of the surgical team, under the direct supervision of the Registered Nurse Circulator, maintains the operating room sterile field; passes instruments, sutures, and sponges during surgery. Insures that proper aseptic technique is utilized to prevent contamination and infection. Assists the registered nurse with circulating duties.

　　Required qualifications:

　　Coursework/Training: Graduate of a program accredited by the Association of Surgical Technicians.

　　National Certified Surgical Technologist - National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting upon hire

　　National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire

　　Experience with proficient scrubbing in one or more: Complex Spine, Total Joints, Open Hearts (chest), and the Eye Service.

　　Preferred qualification:
