  The opportunity

  The role of an Energy Optimization Manager will be to provide consulting services to Power & Utilities clients implementing Digital Grid Programs, capabilities and systems (AMI, ADMS, OMS, SCADA, DRMS, DERMS, EMS, GIS) resulting in increased value and efficiency.  

  Your key responsibilities

  Provide functional and/or technical experience and insights

  Provide strategic and tactical insights, connectedness and responsiveness to all clients to help anticipate their needs

  Lead/manage workstream planning and delivery

  Design and facilitate client meetings and workshops

  Identify and implement service delivery improvements to progress the quality of the service provided and/or the process efficiency

  Identify and resolve/escalate issues and risks that affect scope, quality, schedule and resources

  Develop and deliver status updates and communications

  Manage resource demand, staffing and allocation

  Define team member roles and expectations

  Lead/manage quality assurance for team's work products and service delivery to consistently deliver high quality

  Use technology to continually learn, share knowledge and enhance client service delivery

  Stay current with the latest trends in the industry to be a trusted advisor/subject-matter resource for our clients' businesses

  Participate in new business opportunities by developing ideas and solutions

  Develop long-term relationships with networks both internally and externally

  Enhance the EY brand through strong relationships across a network of existing and future clients

  Mentor, coach and counsel team members and help EY to build an inclusive culture and develop high-performing teams

  Support the EY inclusiveness culture

  Flexibility and willingness to manage significant travel

  Must have a valid driver's license

  Skills and attributes for success

  Strong written and verbal communication skills, especially around breaking down complex structures into digestible and relevant points for a diverse set of clients and colleagues at all levels

  Ability to challenge and inspire coworkers and clients to think about difficult situations in new and transformative ways

  Use of existing knowledge and experience to provide innovative commercial insights for clients, adapt methods and practices to fit operational team and cultural needs, and contribute to thought leadership

  Willingness to improve operational efficiency on projects and internal initiatives

  Ability to drive projects to completion with the highest quality, regardless of team size or individual responsibilities

  Ability to anticipate and identify risks and escalate issues as appropriate to both internal and client leadership

  Ability to create a positive learning culture

  Dedication to be coached by higher levels and provide coaching and counsel to junior team members to help them develop

  To qualify for the role you must have

  Proven business or technical work experience in one or more of the following digital grid focus areas: AMI, ADMS, OMS, SCADA, DRMS, DERMS, EMS, GIS

  Bachelor's degree with a minimum of five years of related work experience or a graduate degree and four years of related work experience

  Excellent written and oral communication skills

  Experience leading teams

  Flexibility and willingness to manage significant travel

  Must have a valid driver's license

    Ideally, you'll also have

  Experience with business development

  Experience providing coaching and feedback to junior team members

  What we offer

  We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The salary range for this job in most geographic locations in the US is $128,400 to $235,400. The salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $154,100 to $267,500. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options. Under our flexible vacation policy, you’ll decide how much vacation time you need based on your own personal circumstances. You’ll also be granted time off for designated EY Paid Holidays, Winter/Summer breaks, Personal/Family Care, and other leaves of absence when needed to support your physical, financial, and emotional well-being.
