The intern will support the supply chain team in the daily tasks of completing a customer order request from beginning to end. They will also assist with projects relating to customer service, demand planning, purchasing, manufacturing, inventory management, warehousing, and transportation.Job ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following.Enter purchase orders for MRO and facilities management.Release work orders and purchase orders for all outside process activities.Release, distribute and file kit work orders and shipping pick lists.Assemble work order packets to the shop floor including the item drawing and first article inspection.Process UPS and FedEx shipments.Shipment quotes and scheduling coordination with existing carriers and freight forwarders.Shipping documentation including Export packing slips, commercial invoices (COI), Bills of Lading (BOL) and Shipping Letter or Instruction (SLI).Participate in weekly Order Management meeting.Provide shipment status updates to customers via the customer service team.Warehouse re-organization project.Vacation coverage for Buyers, Planners and Shipping Coordinator as needed.All other duties related to the support of the supply chain function and company metrics.Background & SkillsAt Danfoss, we believe that a diverse and inclusive workplace fosters creativity, innovation, and a broader perspective in decision-making.
