Here, you will make an impact by:Supporting the Enterprise Supply Chain function and providing guidance and advice on global business and supply chain legal issuesSupporting the global procurement team through drafting and negotiation of procurement agreements, including maintenance of standardized templates and playbooksAdvising, assessing, and training internal clients on compliance with health and safety-related laws and regulations, e.g., Occupational Safety and Health Act and similar federal, state and local requirements around the globe, as well as internal health and safety standards and policiesAdvising, assessing, and training internal clients on compliance with environmental and product stewardship laws and regulations, e.g., Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, Safe Drinking Water Act, Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA)/Solid Waste Disposal Act, Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation and Liability Act (CERCLA)/Superfund Amendments and Reauthorization Act (SARA), Emergency Planning & Community Right-to-Know Act (EPCRA) and similar federal, state and local requirementsAssisting with the implementation of risk assessments, standard operating procedures, monitoring, auditing, and other related health and safety compliance controlsYour Skills and ExpertiseTo set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:Juris Doctor degree (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited law school and member of a United States bar in good standingTen (10) years of experience in supply chain and health and safety law in a private practice or in-house settingAdditional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:Experience in general environmental or product stewardship lawStrong legal knowledge and experience in contract and commercial law; as well as competition law, risk management, dispute resolution and compliance requirementsExcellent organizational skillsStrong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to lead with influence and collaborate across all levels of the organizationFor current employees, internal transfer restrictions may not apply.
