Description

Our client is seeking a meticulous and driven Staff Accountant to join their finance team. As a Staff Accountant, you will be responsible for assisting in various accounting tasks, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in financial operations. The ideal candidate will possess a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and a commitment to maintaining the integrity of financial records.

Responsibilities:

Financial Record Maintenance: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger entries, and other financial transactions.

Reconciliation: Perform monthly bank reconciliations and reconcile discrepancies in financial records.

Journal Entries: Prepare and post journal entries for accruals, prepayments, depreciation, and other adjustments as necessary.

Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of financial statements, reports, and schedules for management review and regulatory compliance.

Audit Support: Collaborate with auditors during internal and external audits, providing documentation and explanations as required.

Compliance: Ensure compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and regulations, including GAAP standards.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Excel.

Strong understanding of accounting principles and regulations (GAAP).

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Attention to detail and accuracy in all work.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
