Summary You will serve as a SUPERVISORY ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN in the Electrical Division, Production Resources Department of PEARL HARBOR NSY AND IMF. Responsibilities You will manage the Metrology and Calibration (METCAL) Program's day to day work operations You will perform technical and management duties in support of Calibration Laboratories for Test, Measurement, and Diagnostic Equipment, General Purpose Electrical/Electronic Test Equipment and Radiation Detection Indication and Computation Equipment You will provide oversight and technical management through instructions and processes and specifications for calibrations to electronic, mechanical, and physical dimensional systems. You will plan, coordinate administration and technical direction of the METCAL program and be accountable for the effectiveness of the program You will measure the organizations overall effectiveness of methods, systems, and procedures. You will direct the development and implementation of training programs and lectures for technical personnel for laboratories aboard nuclear submarines. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: applying technical engineering methods, principles, and practices to direct, plan, and coordinate technical work operations (e.g., updating processes and procedures, maintaining accredited certifications, quality reviews) for a Metrology and Calibration (METCAL) program to make recommendations for overall program effectiveness.
