Summary You will serve as a SUPERVISORY CONTRACT SPECIALIST in the Marine Corps Installations Command (MCICOM), Contracting Division of the MARCORPS NATIONAL CAPITAL REGION. Responsibilities You will serve as the Deputy Director of Contracts in the Marine Corps Installation Command (MCICOM), Contracting Division of the MARCORPS NATIONAL CAPITAL REGION. You will provide expert consultation services to Management in order to advise on the contracting implications of proposed management decisions and to recommend alternatives based on contracting considerations. You will perform supervisory duties for assigned personnel to include managing and motivating contracting/procurement personnel towards organizational goal accomplishment and career growth. You will assign work to be performed, set priorities, deadlines; and perform hiring and performance evaluation functions. You will serve as a senior Contracting Officer with an unlimited warrant and develop acquisition plans/strategies to assure timeframes, goals and work requirements are met on professional services, contracts, and IT supply and service contracts. You will interpret laws, regulations, and policies to execute contractual actions for procurement activities. You will direct contract management and oversight for all acquisition strategies, plans, procedures, and contracts from development through final closeout. You will develop and implement local policies and procedures pertaining to all aspects of the contracting process. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-13) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
