  We are looking for a talented Supervisor, Management to join our team specializing in Engineering for our Components Business Segment in Fletcher, NC

  In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  Supervises the daily activities of a production unit or teams.

  Responsible for the daily activities of a production team including managing team members, housekeeping, and meeting production targets.

  Works cross functionally to recommend and engage in improving safety, productivity, quality, and efficiency of operations.

  Serves as group lead on projects and work assignments.

  Provides guidance and feedback for team members in accomplishing tasks and goals; sets expectations and clarifies responsibilities.

  Coaches and mentors team members.

  Education, Licenses, Certifications

  College, university, or equivalent degree required.

  This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

  Experience

  Supervisory experience preferred.

  Ensures compliance to Standards of Business Conduct through familiarity with related policies and procedures. Trains and motivates subordinates in the importance of full compliance with the letter and spirit of such policies and procedures. Ensure department goals for safety, quality, and throughput are achieved within AOP budgets. Train and develop team members on work processes and requirements to ensure functioning in a safe and efficient environment. Provide production and schedule related information and serve as a communication link between the team and the organization. Transition business performance data analysis skills to team members Facilitate the performance evaluation process. Coach team members for increased performance; counsel and take corrective action when necessary. Provide and develop leadership. Develop environment where team members coach team members participate in plant wide task/project teams. Identify and transition team administrative tasks.

  Prior entry level engineering equivalent work experience in a relevant discipline area is required. Knowledge of MS Office tools is preferred.

  Design new or improve existing machines, fixtures, tooling, structures and gaging to support production improvements. Ability to design complex assemblies and create detailed dimensioned drawings in a 3D CAD solid modeling program. Design and implement efficient processes using lean manufacturing principles, to enable single piece flow in a pull system philosophy for existing products or new product launches as appropriate. Establish appropriate methods, tools, equipment, etc. required to produce products in keeping with established QS9000/TS16949 operating standards. Complete PFMEA analysis in a cross functional environment. Work with the product development teams and management to provide input for make vs. buy decisions. Provide input to Bills of Material and routing as necessary to maintain inventory control, financial controls and customer quality standards in the process. Establish initial calibration schedules for implemented measuring and test equipment. Establish/maintain facility layout that is consistent with kanban, efficient material flow and pull system techniques. Establish procedures for proper handling, use and disposal of any hazardous materials that are implemented/added to the plant. Provide and/or implement continuous improvement ideas and direction for manufacturing and production. Be a contributing member of a continuous improvement and employee-involved culture. Knowledge of or desire to be involved with Six Sigma methodologies and ability to be trained at the green belt level minimum.

  3rd Shift 11:30PM - 7:15 AM

  Base Salary range commensurate with experience, range: $56,00 - $84,000. Please note that the salary range provided is a good faith estimate on the applicable range. The final salary offer will be determined after considering relevant factors, including a candidate’s qualifications and experience, where appropriate. Additional benefits vary between locations and include options such as our 401(k) Retirement Savings Plan, Cash Balance Pension Plan, Medical/Dental/Life Insurance, Health Savings Account, Domestic Partners Coverage and a full complement of personal and professional benefits.
