Position Summary:Reports directly to the Supply and Services Manager. Responsible forassisting in the management of selected installation supply activity coveredunder the Fort Carson Army Field Support Battalion (AFSBn) Contract.Primary Duty includes management and operation of the Fort Carson CentralIssue Facility. Serves as the CIF facility supervisor and has overallresponsibilities for the efficient operation and mission execution of the FortCarson CIF. Assists with specified CIF property management. Prepare logisticalreports and essential management information as required. Manages the CIF tomeet government and AFO, AFSBn goals and objectives. Responsible for the CIFFacility, employee supervision, Organizational Clothing & IndividualEquipment (OCIE) stock and selected warehouses. Supports mobilizationexercises, training and mission requirements.
MAJOR JOB ACTIVITIES:1. Manage and control the CIF Operation within AFSBn Contract & Departmentof Defense (DOD) guidance.
Serves as the CIF Supervisor of a multi-functional organization issuingOCIE for soldiers and civilians.
Responsible for all CIF administrative, management and missionexecutions.
Oversees the Supply operations within the CIF to include receipt,storage, issue, record management, property accountability,requisitioning, and associated inventory control of all materials andsupplies necessary to support the CIF under contractual requirements.
Staffs, manages, and operates the CIF in accordance with FortCarson, DOD and contractual guidelines.
Oversees and controls supply and stockage requirements within the CIF.
Develops and conducts training of employees. Enforces safety,implements organizational changes, interviews, counsels and makesdecisions to get the mission accomplished.
Conducts inventories in accordance with contract and DoD requirements.Coordinates with all customers to ensure they are aware of CIF closures.
Controls CIF activities, tracks requisitioning, receipt of materialsand supplies, inventory, consumption, reorder points, stockage levelsand property accounts.
Must be an expert at executing customer relations tasks.
Reviews all work requirements and coordinates with the Supply Managerto ensure adequate personnel are available for mission execution, takesappropriate corrective action regarding problems and overall ensures fullcompliance with regulations, contract requirements and Government policies.
Interfaces with Government Contracting Officer, Accountable Officerand AFO, AFSBn Managers or their designated representatives. Coordinateswith customers of all military ranks. Schedules meetings, counselsemployees, projects supply requirements, traces costs and stockageobjectives, monitors expenses, performs supply support functions, meetscustomer's needs and supports the Fort Carson military community asrequired. Meets or exceeds established standards.
Works closely with the Supply and Services manager to project CIFworkload, organizational needs. Tracks workload and performance data,submits required reports and ensures proper implementation of new OCIEequipment fielding.
MATERIAL & EQUIPMENT DIRECTLY USED:Working knowledge of software programs related to the CIF operation. Workingknowledge of the Installation Support Modular (ISM System). Works withComputers, Microsoft products, printers, facsimile machines, scannersand copie
WORKING ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES:May be required to work an uncommon tour of duty including nights,weekends, and holidays under pressure and strenuous conditions. Work isgenerally conducted in an office environment. However, duties may involvethe conduct of work in the out-of-doors area with a potential exposure toextreme climatic conditions. Work may require lifting up to 50 lbs.;stooping; climbing; prolonged standing; prolonged sitting.
FREEDOM T ACT: Reports to the Supply and Service Manager. On occasionmust function independently with management oversight, direction and review.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Degree in Business Administration (desirable), officemanagement training, and knowledge of the ISM System. Military training inlogistics or supply or equivalent civilian course work. Course in personnelmanagement (desirable). Comprehensive knowledge of the principles ofmanagement within the military environment (desirable).
Experience: Must have a minimum of five years general experience inMilitary Logistics Management, professional experience in customerrelations, a minimum of three years of supply management experience of alike type facility (desirable), technical proficiency, and a historyof providing professional services to support a specified support mission.Must have at least five years of executive level management experience.Customer relations' skills, communication skills, ability to plan,organize, execute, and function under stress at the executive level. Musthave warehouse and inventory management skills.
