Duties and Responsibilities:
Advocates safety as number one priority on the job-site and enforces compliance with company and job-site safety plan and policies and all safety-related regulationsPartners with Estimating, Division Management and Project Management to supervise, direct, and coordinate management of construction projectsIncluding direct liaison with owner, designers, and subcontractors to ensure efficient and orderly performance of the jobDevelops and implements detailed schedules and production plans with budget and safety goals in mindAssists Project Manager in the preparation of-project status reportsResponsible for daily reports, progress reports, compliance reports and logsOversees the review of plans and drawings in accordance with contract documents and the coordination of shop drawingsProcures tools and materials needed for the project to ensure availability according to the work scheduleDetermines staffing levels and timing considering building methodology as well as the availability of tools and equipment for each phase of the construction projectRecruits, hires and directs the work of all company onsite field personnel in accordance with HR processes and proceduresPrepares or oversees submission of payroll to Payroll Department and all documentation required to comply with HR and Payroll policies and proceduresConfers with supervisory personnel and employees (with appropriate assistance from HR and Legal) to resolve complaints and grievances within the work forceWorks with supervisory personnel and employees, engineers, architects, subcontractorsInspectors, and supplier of tools and materials to improve construction methods and resolve construction issuesEnsures construction schedules are adhered to by determining appropriate staffing levels and material and tool procurementSupervises and coordinates subcontractors to monitor their compliance with subcontract termsFollows and enforces company policies and proceduresCoordinates and oversees regulatory inspectionRequirements:

Must have at least 4-7 years of experience in Mission Critical constructionExperience as lead superintendent on at least one projectExperience on projects up to $80M preferredInterpersonal skills and communication skillsMust have a valid driver's licensePhysical Requirements:
Able to work significant portion of day outside on construction siteMust be able to stand for long periods and work at heightsMust be able to work in all types of weather (including exposure to extremes of hot and cold) and in all kinds of work environmentsJob requires lifting of parcels weighing up to 50 lbs.Able to stand; crawl; climb ladders and stairs; balance; stoop and kneel; etc (physical activities associated with construction sites)Must be able to withstand for long periods of time noise, fumes, airborne particles, etc. associated with construction sitesUse of hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controlsThe above description covers the principal duties and responsibilities of the job.
