Brasfield and Gorrie, a leading General Contractor in the Southeast, is searching for aConstruction Superintendent experienced in mission critical construction projects. A successful candidate should have 5+ years as a Superintendent ondata center construction projects.
Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned):
Advocates safety as number one priority on the jobsite and enforces compliance with company and jobsite safety plan and policies and all safety-related regulationsPartners with Estimating, Division Management and Project Management to supervise, direct, and coordinate management of construction projects, including direct liaison with owner, designers, and subcontractors to ensure efficient and orderly performance of the jobDevelops and implements detailed schedules and production plans with budget and safety goals in mindAssists Project Manager in the preparation of project status reportsResponsible for daily reports, progress reports, compliance reports and logsOversees the review of plans and drawings in accordance with contract documents and the coordination of shop drawingsProcures tools and materials needed for the project to ensure availability according to the work scheduleDetermines staffing levels and timing considering building methodology as well as the availability of tools and equipment for each phase of the construction projectRecruits, hires and directs the work of all company onsite field personnel in accordance with HR processes and proceduresPrepares or oversees submission of payroll to Payroll Department and all documentation required to comply with HR and Payroll policies and proceduresConfers with supervisory personnel and employees (with appropriate assistance from HR and Legal) to resolve complaints and grievances within the work forceWorks with supervisory personnel and employees, engineers, architects, subcontractors, inspectors, and supplier of tools and materials to improve construction methods and resolve construction issuesEnsures construction schedules are adhered to by determining appropriate staffing levels and material and tool procurementSupervises and coordinates subcontractors to monitor their compliance with subcontract termsFollows and enforces company policies and proceduresCoordinates and oversees regulatory inspectionMission Critical Responsibilities
Thorough knowledge of mechanical, electrical and plumbing systemsRepresent Brasfield and Gorrie in regard to the MEP process at weeklyOwners and contractors meetingsExperience with Commissioning activities, levels 1-5 as defined by BCxA, schedule and monitoring CX activities.Experience with and Monitoring of the performance of all MEP tradesExperience with Method of Procedures (MOPs), reviewing, approving and monitoring.Interface and coordinate activities of the contractor, subcontractors, engineers and the independent commissioning companyMaintain equipment logs to track major MEP equipmentCoordinate daily activities of MEP subcontractors on the jobsite and communicate issues to Project ManagersCoordinate owner training sessionsEducation - Skills - Knowledge - Qualifications and ExperienceSpecial Skills/Knowledge:
Act and operate in a 'safety first' manner5+ Years of Commercial Constructionexperience in supervisory roleSuccessful completion of Mission Critical / Data Center projectsExperience with BIM preferredMust be a self-starter and possess the drive to pursue continued education on MEP systemsAbility to work well as a part of a team and independentlyStrong interpersonal skills and communication skillsStrong written and verbal communications skillsAbility to take on additional responsibilities as needed as well as determine and manage priorities with minimal guidanceMust be able to ork in a drug-free work environmentMust have a valid driver's licenseExperience with projects 25 million and higher preferredWillingness to travel or relocate to jobsites strongly preferredPhysical Requirements:
