　　We are currently seeking 4 Temporary Summer Students to join our Operations Team at our Goderich Evaporation Plant in Goderich, Ontario. Employment will be between May 1 to September 3, 2023. Students must be enrolled in an accredited post-secondary education institution. Dates may vary based on school schedules.

　　The Goderich Evaporation Plant is proud to be one of Goderich’s first employers, tracing back to 1867. Currently the site employs 90 people, producing an annual capacity of 140,000 tons of evaporated food grade, agricultural, pool and water-softening salt, and additionally packages 100,000 tons of rock salt, serving customers throughout the Ontario, Quebec and Northern-Central United States regions.

　　Goderich is named Canada’s Prettiest Town and is best known for its stunning sunsets. Goderich is a lakeside community of 8,000 people located approximately 1 hour from London & Stratford, Ontario and a 1 ½ hour drive from Kitchener-Waterloo.

　　How will you contribute to the team?

　　General labour (i.e. cleaning, painting and janitorial duties)

　　Operate packaging equipment

　　Forklift and other heavy equipment operation

　　Loading bulk trucks

　　Dust collection duties

　　Sanitation related inspections and cleaning

　　Must be able to work at heights and confined spaces.

　　Varied Shifts and hours will be required, Days, Afternoons, Midnights.

　　Qualifications

　　You bring to the role:

　　Minimum High School graduate by June 2024 and must be enrolled in an accredited post-secondary education institution. Proof of enrollment will be verified prior to an offer.

　　Previous manufacturing/industrial equipment operation, and material handling equipment operation is preferred

　　Previous forklift experience is preferred

　　Must be able to work at heights and confined spaces.
