　　The Operations Services department is looking for a Data Analytics intern to join their Office Space & Property Management team!

　　About the Office Space & Property Management Division:

　　Office Space & Property Management (OSPM) oversees the operation of the Agency's economic development and waterfront portfolio, which includes the management of 21 buildings, consisting of over 4 million square feet of space across multiple facilities, as well as the management and day-to-day operations of approximately 1.4 million square feet of Agency office space, occupied by approximately 2,500 Port Authority employees. OSPM is responsible for the coordination and facilitation of all required structural, vertical transportation and fire/life safety inspections. OSPM conceptualizes and advances development opportunities, including enhanced revenue initiatives, as well as disposition of non-core assets, community revitalization, job generation, and increased use of public transportation. OSPM provides for the management of office renovations, relocations, construction, interior design (furniture) and Port Authority standards for all Port Authority facilities and leased properties. OSPM's goal is to manage these facilities in a safe, efficient, cost-effective manner that encourages staff productivity. OSPM seeks to implement sustainability initiatives that reduce energy consumption and costs.

　　Responsibilities:

　　Assist with the collection, loading, standardization, and identification of relevant data for analysisCommunicate analyses findings to your team members through visuals, data tables, and modelsBuild statistical learning models to detect patterns and trends among relevant business issuesWork with the latest innovative tools such as Microsoft SharePoint, Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI Perform data collection, spreadsheet creation, and data analysisProject management services for process improvement and solutionsAttend meetings and provide feedback on existing maintenance practices and proceduresCoordinate between internal and external stakeholders to manage projectsAssist with review of labor agreements for facility operations and maintenance staffAssist with code compliance related documentation (fire life safety, structural integrity, and vertical transportation)Participate in continuous improvement projects as appropriate

　　Qualifications:

　　Enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate program through the Fall 2024 semester (August 2024 or beyond)Experience with Microsoft apps such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, etc.Excellent written and oral communication skillsInterest in contributing to the success of the New York and New Jersey regionInterest in public service and/or transportationWillingness to learn

　　Internship Details:

　　The start date will be Thursday, May 30 with an orientation that will take place at 4 World Trade Center in Lower ManhattanThe internship will last 12 weeks, ending on Friday, August 23This is a full-time internship (generally 5 days per week at 7.25 hours of work per day plus a 45-minute break)The format is expected to be hybrid, partially virtual and partially in-person at 2 Montgomery Street in Jersey City, NJThe hourly salary range is $17.20 to $28.85 (the hourly salary is determined by internship type and school year)These details are subject to change
