Summer Intern, Medical Education - Diagnostics
San Diego, CA, United States
As a Hologic Summer Intern, you are not just taking a job; you are taking your place on a global team of motivated, creative, and dedicated people! The intern experience gives you the opportunity to shine and share your knowledge, energy, and passion on meaningful projects that impact people all over the world.
In addition to a project that will provide maximum experience and exposure in your desired field, the Hologic College Relations team provides opportunities to learn more about the company, network with leadership, and develop the skills needed to succeed in your future career.
The Medical Education team is an enabling function of each channel of our business. This means we create and execute programming in alignment with the channel goals and focus in an effort to raise awareness about clinical topics relevant to the business.
In partnership with Marketing, Medical and Scientific Affairs, Medical Science Liaisons, Sales, and our customers, the MedEd team is responsible for the planning and execution of virtual and in-person programming delivered by speakers from our faculty bureau.
Within the Diagnostics division, we are focused on raising awareness around sexual and vaginal health, cervical cancer screening, pre-term birth management, and genomic testing for extended endocrine therapy. We love partnering with all our key stakeholders to deliver meaningful educational programming that ultimately impacts patient care.
Our largest training event is our Hologic Faculty Bureau Speaker Summit, which we will be hosting again this summer. During this event, we bring together our faculty from every diagnostic channel (Women’s Health, Women’s Health Lab, Oncology and Perinatal) to provide an opportunity to learn and practice impactful presentation techniques, share business and channel updates, and discuss Medical Education programs and presentations.
Throughout the 10-12 weeks, the MedEd intern will play a key role in the planning and execution of the Speaker Summit. This individual will also assist in the planning and supporting of other MedEd programming throughout the summer. The MedEd intern will be encouraged to travel to some of the events to observe the programs in action. This individual will be integral to the MedEd team and the success of another Hologic Faculty Bureau Speaker Summit.
