  Job Summary:

  This position is for a Summer Internship or Summer / Fall Co-op with fulltime participation (40hr/wk) expected at summer start (May – June) and potential to continue starting in September working reduced hours (10-20hr/wk), within International Aero Engines, AG (IAE), part of RTX’s Pratt & Whitney aerospace business. International Aero Engines, AG is a collaboration that has produced and delivered > 7,800 V2500 engines since entry into service in 1989. There is a broad world-wide customer installed base with 160 active operators operating 3,000 aircraft in service that have accumulated >250M flight hours of service experience. IAE continues to produce new engines and is currently supporting nearly 1,000 engine shop visits per year, generating several billion in annual sales for IAE and its party companies.

  The position will support the V2500 program management team in developing and improving critical business processes to support the fleet. The candidate will support continuous improvement projects and the execution of key initiatives. This is an excellent development opportunity to learn about program management, the commercial engine business, the V2500 product and how to identify and develop processes that support a modern high volume operational fleet.

  Key Responsibilities:

  Supporting data collection, analysis, and reporting.

  Executing projects to support fleet management performance and improvements.

  Supporting industrial planning and management.

  Data gathering and analysis to identify and evaluate maintenance cost reduction.

  Completing assigned projects to improve program management processes.

  Basic Qualifications:

  Enrolled in a degree program in in engineering or business or related field.

  Must be a U.S. Citizen. This position may require access to systems/tools that are restricted to individuals who possess US citizenship.

  Preferred Qualifications:

  Minimum GPA of 3.0 preferred .

  Self-starter that has strong analytical, data management, communication, and interpersonal skills.

  Comfortable working with MS Office and proficiency with BI tools and databases is a plus.

  What is my role type?

  Hybrid: Employees who are working in Hybrid roles will work regularly both onsite and offsite. This means that responsibilities of the job need to be performed onsite on a regular basis.

  Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee’s personal responsibility.

  The salary range for this role is 52,000 USD - 128,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

  Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

  This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
