What You Will Do

　　The Summer 2024 High School Internship Program provides qualified northern New Mexico high school seniors the opportunity to develop skills and gain work experience, while receiving exposure to a variety of career fields. Students who participate in this program have the opportunity to intern during the summer before their senior year.

　　What You Need

　　Minimum Job Requirements:

　　Students who wish to participate in the High School Internship Program must meet all the following requirements:

　　Be a senior in high school.

　　Be at least 16 years of age at the time the internship begins.

　　Have and maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.

　　Attend a high school located in northern New Mexico.

　　Live in these counties: Los Alamos, Mora, Rio Arriba, San Miguel, Sandoval, Santa Fe, Taos.

　　Pass a pre-employment drug test

　　This position will be physically located in Los Alamos, NM.

　　No Clearance: Position does not require a security clearance. Selected candidates will be subject to drug testing and other pre-employment background checks.

　　New-Employment Drug Test: The Laboratory requires successful applicants to complete a new-employment drug test and maintains a substance abuse policy that includes random drug testing. Although New Mexico and other states have legalized the use of marijuana, use and possession of marijuana remain illegal under federal law. A positive drug test for marijuana will result in termination of employment, even if the use was pre-offer.
