  In this role, the qualified individual will be expected to:

  Perform conceptual and detailed HV and MV Substation Physical/Electrical design for utilities/substations (including basic layout, electrical arrangement, one line, three line drawings, plan-section, grounding, AC and DC system drawings)

  Perform engineering studies and calculations

  Perform Quality Control reviews on smaller substation physical design projects

  Assume the role of technical lead on smaller projects with limited guidance or on medium sized projects with guidance.

  Create and review bill of materials for substation physical projects

  Develop and review proposals, and scopes of work for smaller substation physical projects

  Be involved in limited client interaction (including site visits) with a senior, project or lead project engineer

  Possess excellent communication skills and the ability to interact with the internal teams and clients to meet project objectives

  Develop leadership skills in preparation for future roles on the team

  What you will bring to the table:

  4+ years of Substation physical design experience.

  Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, civil or related degree

  Experience with grounding studies/lightning protection and lighting studies.

  It would be nice if you had:

  Registered Professional Engineer ( P.E) license

  Master’s degree in related field

  Working knowledge of protection and control design

  Experience with bus calculation

  Experience with WinIGS or CDEGS

  Pay Range:

  Pay Range $81,250.00 - $146,875.00

  The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline onlyand not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
