The Substation Designer would work with our growingSubstation Engineering Team to prepare schematic and associated wiringdiagrams for high voltage utility substations projects and renewableenergy interconnections. The position would require the employee to workwith engineers and consultants to create these drawings. Duties andResponsibilities Computer aided design and drafting of all engineeringproducts and deliverables. Collaborate with engineers and other draftersto correct discrepancies in drawings and designs. Typical CAD Design isthat of functional electrical drawings as shown below. o OperationsDiagrams o Single Line Drawings o Three Line Drawings o Current andPotential Schematics o Protection and Control Schematics o CommunicationSchematics o Alarm Schematics o Associated Wiring Diagrams (Point toPoint Translation) o Importation of tables and calculations such as BOMsas well as creating notes to be applied to each drawing. Self-checks allwork performed to ensure its accuracy prior to turning it over to thesupervisor or designee assigned to review the work. Understand & meetproject schedule, and quality requirements. Complete drawings accuratelyand efficiently. Detailed and quality oriented. Able to handle multipleprojects concurrently and maintain flexibility to changes in workassignments as changes occur in projects. Actively assist in thedelivery of a complete project. This may include phone or e-mailcorrespondence, Microsoft Teams communications, attending meetings, andother project documents required for project completion.
