Currently seeking certified/registered Alcohol Drug Counselors to become a part of our Behavioral Health team. Bay Area Community Resources, a non-profit organization, is re-inventing one of our Alcohol and Drug Treatment Programs. Registered counselors with relevant experience will be considered.

Pay: $26-$30/hour (full time), dependent on registration/certification and experience.

Minimum Qualifications:

Must be a Certified or Registered Alcohol or Drug Counselor or licensed counselor by a State of California Accredited Institution, such as CCAPP or CADPT.

Must be able to work onsite at a facility

Previous experience working with the justice-involved population

Excellent work ethic; full understanding of and adherence to professional, ethical and legal standards

Must be able to clear Livescan fingerprinting background check

Preferred:

Bilingual English/Spanish

Computer literate

Responsibilities:

Facilitate education and treatment groups on site and within the community

Conduct intakes of new clients and discharges

Individual care management

Engagement and retention groups

Address client issues surrounding topics of substance use and criminal behaviors
