In this position, you will serve as the Student Support Personnel Specialist in the Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Center. The EDI Center‘s mission is to advance the principles of equity, diversity and inclusion to create the conditions for building authentic cross-cultural communities where harm is eliminated and every person‘s humanity is acknowledged and valued. In this position, you will provide educational leadership, program development, training, consultation, and resources to increase the capacity and subject matter expertise around culturally responsive practices for student support personnel, school leaders and educators. You will:
Lead the workforce student support personnel pipeline grant program by partnering and providing guidance to accredited universities, professional education organizations, student support personnel, and educators;
Provide professional development, technical assistance, and support for the growth, development, and retention of student support personnel staff;
Foster and promote development for student support personnel recruitment and retention, including planning and coordinating and providing educational offerings and networkign with accredited universities;
Assist in the development and implementation of a comprehensive evaluation plan, including the design and application of evaluation tools and processes to measure effectiveness and outcomes of training, technical assistance, and activities; and
Assist in the collection, development, and distribution of resources to promote student support personnel career pathways in school districts and charter schools.
Minimum Qualifications
5 years of professional experience supporting and/or implementing programs that advance student support services (school psychologists, school nurses, school counselors, and school social workers)
OR
A bachelor‘s or master‘s degree and 4 years of professional experience supporting and/or implementing programs that advance student support services (school psychologists, school nurses, school counselors, and school social workers)
Experience must include:
Experience supporting Student Support Personnel Workforce development (career pathways development)
Experience developing and facilitating professional development for educators
Experience developing guidance and communication related programs that advance student support services
Experience administering and managing grants experience
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with evidence-based and equity-focused practices related to school mental health
Community engagement with diverse populations experience
Experience developing or leading school mental health programs and/or initiatives
Experience supporting Multi-Tiered System of Supports
