The Division provides consumer assistance and enforces laws regarding insurance, investment, and lending issues, and has a focus on post-secondary educational debt, including student loan servicing and debt collection. Primary Duties: Student Loan Advocate Attorneys assist consumers in navigating student loan repayment and debt relief opportunities, mediate consumer complaints, work on student loan policy issues, participate in outreach and education initiatives, and help more experienced Assistant Attorneys General with the investigation/litigation of consumer protection matters, legal research, and the implementation of settlements.
