Hours are available between 8am - 5pm Monday - Friday.Job SummaryThe University of Kentucky’s Division of Laboratory Animal Research is recruiting students to work in our facilities.This position will primarily complete cage wash activities; Provide facility maintenance and sanitation as directed. Limited amount (approximately 10% of overall job duties and responsibilities) of simple, routine animal caretaking duties, training program; and other duties as requested by Team Lead or Supervisor. Completes cage wash activities check-lists, logs and documentation accurately and within appropriate time-frames. Documents and reports equipment malfunctions to management. Maintains proper record keeping of washer and sterilizer quality assurance testing.All actions are completed by strictly and consistently following applicable DLAR Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) including safety procedures and guidelines. Reports any suspected or actual deviations to SOPs or non-routine situations immediately to Team Lead or their Supervisor.
