Aerotek, voted Best of Staffing, is hiring Structural Welders at the largest shipbuilding company up to $45.00/hour (Weekly). Client pays very generously with competitive pay rates in the market. Client locations in Newport News, VA. Ideal candidate would be looking for a long term opportunity and grow with a company, and willing to be a part of an exciting team. The welder position will be working in a shipyard/shop environment.

　　Qualifications:

　　Four years of NNS or naval shipyard experience as a first class Welder.

　　All Welders will be required to pass all position, Multi-pass Butt Weld, Welder Qualification Tests prior to reporting for the first day of productive work. These tests will be in accordance with MIL-STD-248D Paragraph 5.3.3 and the following:

　　All position (Horizontal (2G), Vertical (3G), and Overhead (4G)) SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding) process.

　　All position (Horizontal (2G), Vertical (3G), and Overhead (4G)) FCAW (Flux Core Arc Welding) process.

　　Horizontal (2G) position GMAW (Gas Metal Arc Welding) process.

　　Air Carbon Arc Gouging proficiency test.

　　Candidates must be able to work any shift, they run a 1st shift: 7am-3:30pm, 2nd shift: 3:30-11pm, and a 3rd shift: 11pm-7am. OT will be available, not guaranteed.

　　2 year Contracted Work on Naval Base.

　　$120 in Per Diem every day worked 4 hour or more.

　　Opportunities for overtime depending on Foreman.

　　Lodging can be arranged.
