About the Role:
The position is responsible for providing in-home, family-based clinicaland support services to families of domestic violence, substance abuse,abused and/or neglected children, and/or families with severelyemotionally disturbed children. The IFBS Clinician will providefamily-focused services to the parents of children involved withDepartment of Children and Families (DCF) or other identified families.The overall goal of services is to strengthen parenting skills,emotional responsiveness, and improve communication within the family.All services provided will follow the guidelines defined in the DCFGrant. The clinician will develop and maintain close workingrelationships with internal and external professional staff to providecoordinated, quality services.
Responsibilities:
- Provide weekly in-home parenting support, clinical interventions, andpsychoeducation to client\'s family
- Address risk factors as identified by DCF or from clinical assessmentin an effort to assist family with reunification or to prevent furtherDCF involvement
- Participate and attend all related school and provider meetings onbehalf of the child and/or family
- Extensive collaboration across community agencies and other RMHproviders
- Comply with internal and DCF documentation requirements
Qualifications:
- Master\'s level social work, mental health, psychology, or humanservices degree
- Master\'s level Clinicians must be Rostered in the State of Vermontwithin 60 days of employment. In addition to this, Rostered Cliniciansmust obtain Licensure in their profession within 5 years of obtainingtheir Master\'s degree.
- Experience in psychological treatment of adults, children, andfamilies
- Experience or knowledge in family systems therapy approaches andcomplex/generational trauma
- Excellent communication skills both written and oral
- Must have a valid driver\'s license, reliable transportation withpersonal automobile liability insurance coverage at or above the levelsmandated by the State of Vermont.
- *Successful completion of a criminal history background check afterhire.
