THE OPPORTUNITY
Ecora is looking for a Structural Team Lead to join the Structural department on a permanent full-time
basis. The location would be either Kelowna or Surrey, BC for this position.
Ecora is committed to creating and delivering exceptional quality service to our valued clients and has
extensive experience delivering a range of structural engineering services for residential,
multifamily/mixed use, commercial and industrial projects. Ecora provides consulting services to
provincial government, municipalities, First Nation communities, resource industry companies,
architects, developers, and contracting firms throughout British Columbia.
The structural division at Ecora is growing and is looking for an individual that is passionate about
managing a team, developing relationships in the market place and overseeing the quality of service that
our team provides to our clients.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Assign resources to projects, prioritize work, and balance work loads
• Manage resource planning and requests for work
• Review project performance with PM's
• Working with sector leads to assess opportunity viability for pursuing a proposal
• Manage customer, project risk and expectation
• Complete performance reviews for team members and help them develop goals and career paths
• Provide technical/non-technical guidance and support to team members
• Manage and resolve conflicts between team members
• Act as a PM, EOR and Reviewer for structural projects
• Manage specific projects where client relations are of high importance
• Ensure consistent deliverables within office locations and throughout the whole team.
• Align the team for growth and success.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Minimum Bachelor's degree in structural engineering from an accredited university.
• Professional Engineer (P.Eng) designation with EGBC
• 15+ years structural engineering experience with concrete, timber and steel structures.
• 5 years minimum in a management role
• Accountable individual with an in-depth knowledge of structural engineering solutions for
relative projects
• Ability to effectively communicate structural calculations and results for others to follow.
• Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written required.
• Ability to propose simple and practical solutions for complex structural engineering problems.
• Strong commitment to safety, quality and innovation.
• Class 5 driver's license and ability to travel to job sites and to head office as needed.
