Summary:
Provides leadership within each managerial unit in the implementation of selected sourcing strategies
Duties and Responsibilities:
Teams with other strategic sourcing specialists, strategic sourcing and procurement representatives to effect long term sourcing strategies in line with commercial best practices, DOE/NNSA requirements and functional transformation
Initiates and coordinates discussions or meetings between suppliers and respective FM&T departments to resolve sourcing-related problems
Prepares and analyzes reports as requested by manager or as required by procedure
Provides input to the development and implementation of strategic supplier management concepts including process characterization and control and development of long term supplier partnerships.
Leads sourcing staff in the use of strategic sourcing tools such as Spend Analysis and Supplier Performance Management (SPM). Evaluates data and assists management team in identifying and managing key suppliers.
Leads cross-functional capacity and forecasting effort with suppliers to identify and maintain optimum supply base capacity.
Performs periodic updating of supplier risk analysis tools such as Supplier Resiliency Overview in order to maintain and update the risk analysis database.
Designs and implements supplier improvement initiatives and resolves critical supplier issues.
Provides guidance and necessary training to Sourcing personnel.
At times assists Sourcing Analysts by providing the evaluation of vendor quotations, utilizing appropriate sourcing analysis techniques, executes RFI/RFP process with suppliers in support of the implementation of proper contracts with emphasis on quality, delivery, total cost necessary to meet requirements.
You Must Have:
Five or more years progressive experience in procurement, supply chain or strategic sourcing, with consistent • achievement of high-quality results on assigned responsibilities or equivalent related experience
Bachelor's degree
Ability to obtain and maintain a Q-level clearance

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS: Non-Incentive Salary Range: $79,680 - $114,540
