  Job Summary

  This student worker position supports the Offices of Institutional Effectiveness, Planning, & Research and Student Success Strategy at College of Lake County. The student worker will assist the Office of Student Success Strategy by providing student perspective and input to the work CLC does to improve the college for students. The student worker will assist the Office of Institutional Effectiveness, Planning, & Research with organizational tasks and preparation of research reports.

  This position includes a mix of independent work and collaboration with other students, faculty, and staff at CLC .

  Position Duties:

  Assist with day-to-day administrative tasks, such as photocopying, printing, document scanning, document filing, organizing, and sending communications to other College departments.

  Review project plans, student communications, and other materials to provide student perspective.

  Participate in meetings to provide student insight as requested.

  Research best practices in higher education.

  Assist with data requests, reports, and projects, by entering data, checking data, summarizing key findings, proofreading reports, and preparing presentations.

  Develop plans for student-led success efforts for CLC students.

  Coordinate and create student stories to share with internal and external audiences.

  Create communications (emails, documents, presentations, videos) to share information about student success strategies.

  Help recruit other students to inform student success strategies at CLC .

  Perform computer work, such as creating, formatting, and organizing data spreadsheets and tables using Microsoft Excel; creating, formatting and editing written reports using Microsoft Word; preparing and formatting visual presentations using PowerPoint; creating and formatting SharePoint web pages, checking and responding to e-mails, updating calendars and sending meeting invitations using Outlook.

  Other duties as assigned

  Required Qualification(s)

  Be a CLC student enrolled in a minimum of six (6) college credit hours

  Attach an availability schedule with application

  Have some computer knowledge behind the basics of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word)

  Work Schedule

  Specific hours will be determined by the student worker and Director, Student Success Strategy. Work will be completed between Monday-Friday 8:00am – 4:30pm.
