Job Description Plan, lead and coordinateall areas of Bindery production to exceed internal and external customerexpectations in safety, quality, productivity, schedules, housekeepingand employee relations. Responsibilities: Work to eliminate all unsafebehaviors and conditions within the plant. Fully support and practiceSafety Training Observation Program techniques on a daily basis. Assurethe maintenance of excellent housekeeping practices and safety awarenesson all shifts. Maintain positive communication within the Bindery on allshifts. Communicate effectively with all internal external customers toinsure that all production requirements, schedules, quality, and finaldeliveries of our products are satisfactory. Work with other members ofBindery Management to create the appropriate training material tofacilitate the continual growth of all Press employees May makerecommendations regarding hires, terminations, promotions, transfers,and training of Bindery personnel. Motivate staff in support ofdepartment objectives and timely and effective schedules to ensureproduction goals. May be responsible for determining appropriate manningfor each shift along with other supervisors, departments and co-workers.Coordinate manning efforts to effectively meet all quality andproduction requirements. Maintain and monitor the completion of allnecessary records and documents as assigned. Foster the continual useand implementation of the philosophies and tools that are taught throughour Total Quality Program. Promote the concept of working together as ateam and with other departments to build continual improvement withinthe company. Perform other related duties as required.
