Opportunity
We are looking for a Stores Administrator to join our team in Poyle, Slough, who will be responsible for maintaining store inventory and supporting maintenance employees with spare parts requirements.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Working unaccompanied in a safe and responsible manner at all times, reporting near-misses and safety observations to the business manager;
Ability to use the businesses ERP system to issue spare parts and consumables to relevant employees;
Entering job information onto the ERP system – parts, labour, and type of work completed;
Maintaining stores inventory stock levels to avoid shortages and zero stock scenarios. This involves raising purchase orders, and working with existing and new suppliers on spare parts, tooling, and PPE requirements;
Overseeing the storage of products;
Working with current and new suppliers to reduce parts expenditure;
Communicating with the leadership team in a proactive manner when the supplier delivery chain is disrupted or delayed, and likely to lead to a disruption in workshop productivity;
Conducting regular cycle counts;
Ensuring safety and security in the storage area;
Processing sales orders as required;
Accepting deliveries and receipting goods;
Arranging shipment of goods via logistics providers as required;
Supporting the business with all reasonable work instructions.
Qualifications
Education, skills and knowledge required:
You should be a responsible, highly motivated and flexible individual;
ERP system experience required;
Computer literate and able to use Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook;
Able to liaise with directly with suppliers and manufacturers to establish competitive inventory purchasing;
No convictions, full UK driving licence preferred but not essential;
Forklift licence desirable, however training will be provided if required;
Ability to work well under pressure;
A driven approach to learning in a practical environment;
Able to follow ISO9001:2015 processes and procedures;
Capable of working individually, and as part of a team.
The working hours are Monday – Friday, 7:30am – 4:00pm, with a 30 minute unpaid lunch break at 12:00pm (a 40 hour working week). A flexible approach to overtime is essential.
