Duties and Responsibilities
As Storekeeper Supervisor, I will assume full responsibility for the efficient operation in the following:
• Inform manager of any complaints or any other problems that may arise.
• React to all daily operating problems and complaints rose and to offer solutions.
• Ensure that all the issues from the stores are well documented as per resort policy.
• Ensure that all stores and loading docks are always kept in order and clean.
• Check on daily basis the minimum stock levels and prepare the proper purchase request for the related Head of Department to purchase on time to avoid shortages.
• Ensure that all the items kept in the stores are ready and in a good shape to consume, none of them has an expired date of usage or spoiled.
• Inform the Cost Controller regarding the spoiled or expired store items.
• Ensure that all store items are always carrying updated bin-cards or meat-tags.
• Participate with the accounting team to do the physical inventory of the stores every month-end.
• Work together with Receiving Clerk to ensure that all incoming merchandise is dated, priced, and rotated in all circumstances.
• Ensure that all requisitions are filled in a timely basis in accordance with Storeroom hours, and the requests of outlets.
• Take note of Slow Moving Stock list at least once each month.
• Handle all deliveries of goods to the appropriate departments within the hotel including loading and unloading carts and placing in appropriate storerooms.
• Responsible for putting away orders in a timely and efficient manner.
• Complete walk through of the back of house and dry storage areas.
• Attend meetings and training as required by supervisors.
• Upkeep Six Senses guidelines and standards of service and operation. My performance benchmarks are maintained and exceeded.
• Strictly adhere to LQA standards and guest comments.
• Perform any additional tasks given to me by supervisor/management.
Qualifications
To execute the position of Storekeeper Supervisor, I must have the required qualifications, technical skills and experience in a similar role in luxury hotels with proven results and includes the following:
• I have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Finance/Purchasing and Supply and more than one year’s experience in a similar role.
• I am a personally involved, visible and proactive host with excellent organizational skills. I have an intuitive sense of product and service quality, a passion for excellence and an understanding of the sophisticated needs of the luxury customer and I have experience and I am able to work in a cross-cultural environment positively.
• Technical skills include advanced MS Office, Outlook platforms and Materials Control (MC).
• I have an excellent command of written and spoken English, and I am able to live in a remote location for extended periods of time and travel on single status.
