Position Summary:
Responsible for the distribution of supplies, equipment, specimens, mail, packages, interoffice mail, forms, miscellaneous items and returns to designated areas throughout McLaren-Bay Region.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Delivers, picks up, and sorts letters, messages, packages, specimens, blood, medication, cassettes, records, interoffice memoranda, office supplies, forms and other items, and returns to designated areas, according to an established schedule.
Maintaining messenger service on a five (5) day a week schedule to include city runs, out of city runs and STAT runs to physician offices.
Responsible for pick-up and resorting of U.S. Mail for pick-up by departments and the preparation of U.S. Mail for pick-up by outside mail source.
Checks quality and quantity against purchase order for both stock and non-stock.
Responsible for shipping, including packaging and mailing.
Stocks par areas according to established procedure.
Performs related clerical duties as assigned.
Maintains control of supplies and assists in inventory of supplies.
Cleans assigned areas and vehicles on routine basis.
Participates in performance improvement activities.
Performs other related duties as required and directed.
Qualifications:
Required:
High school diploma or equivalent
Must have a valid Michigandrivers license, and a driver's record approved by
the Medical Center
as applicable
