GENERAL FUNCTION
This position will join a retail construction team that is dedicated to innovation, problem solving and design excellence. This role will be dedicated to project work, which includes design and implementation of exterior/interior signage and way finding for all of Luxottica North America brands. This position will work collaboratively with external vendors to review in-store signage proposals and create strategies for new in-store ideas. This position will maintain and manage the design signage guidelines and ensure internal teams and stakeholders are following these guidelines. This position will work with internal and external clients, pitches design concepts and understands the needs of the brands.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop and maintain signage and graphic standards for all in-store projects
Develop signage scope and strategy for refresh and one-off projects for all brands
Manage signage scope for new, relocation and remodel projects
Collaborate with vendors to approve provided sign shop drawings and construction graphic layout drawings
Qualify and on-board signage vendors
Develop drawings and design for signage lease exhibits
Responsible for multiple project management from conceptualization, hand off for implementation and provides design support during construction
Ensures completeness, accuracy and timeliness of required deliverables, driving ideas and processes to closure
Develops and manages the project schedule through all phases of store signage design
Collaborates with Construction to manage budgets and schedules on all projects
Continually works to find creative cost savings in signage design in stores
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or similar
5+ years’ experience in graphic design or similar
Experience working in the design of graphics for environments
High level of proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Specifically InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat)
CADtools for Illustrator
Microsoft Office Suite
Knowledge of signage requirements and procedures, assembly, materials and installation techniques
Ability to visualize ideas in two and three dimensions
Ability to work from construction documents
Proficient in creating drawings to scale
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Strategic thinking and ability to create designs for projects based on practical and conceptual thinking
Ability to work cooperatively or independently in a fast-paced environment
Ability to handle multiple projects and capacity to adapt to change
Experience working with graphic and signage suppliers
Experience in working with a diverse project team including Retail Designers, Construction Project Managers, Brand Operation Managers

Employee pay is determined by multiple factors, including geography, experience, qualifications, skills and local minimum wage requirements.
