This position will analyze, research, forecast, and reconcile complex financial documents; ensure compliance with laws, rules, and policies; perform related work. This role develops reports and other financial data for use by management and works closely with numerous department staff to gather required information to perform duties.
Responsibilities:
Broad knowledge of the organization's programs and financial requirements to prepare, reconcile, and balance financial transactions.
Typically, responsible for specific financial duties such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, budget, journals, etc.
Identify and correct errors and discrepancies; determine cost allocations; maintain logs, ledgers, journals; and develop ad hoc reports, work/spread sheets, and other financial documents.
Incumbents may compile and prepare budget data and monitor cash balances.
May recommend and design bookkeeping-type record systems and implement approved changes.
Review, complete, and process financial documents and ensure their compliance with laws, regulations, and policies for approval or recommended approval.
They determine and assign liability, penalty and interest, and resolve disputes.
Incumbents require experience using computer systems to retrieve, enter, and edit financial data.
Some incumbents deal extensively with business representatives, and/or the general public to identify and resolve non-routine issues involving laws and regulations.
Minimum Qualifications:
Some knowledge of financial record keeping. Work Experience:
Researching and compiling financial information and preparing summaries and reports
Experience using personal computers to enter, retrieve, and edit financial data.

Ability to learn quickly, take direction, work as part of a team, ask questions, and problem-solve.
Organizational skills and accountability to meet deadlines.
Knowledge and experience using Microsoft Excel
Working knowledge of accounting procedures
Familiarity with accounting and financial management principles
Accurate data entry
