Position Overview
A Front Row Seat to InnovationLocations: Aurora, Broomfield, and HighlandsPosition Purpose-The Certified Instrument/Sterile Processing Technician is acertified clinician who provides an essential role in patient safety andinfection control by ensuring surgical instruments, endoscopes and patientcare equipment is decontaminated, reprocessed and maintained. The CertifiedTechnician operates several types of surgical instrument sterilizers anddecontamination equipment.Current Pay Range:Non-Certified- $15.62-$23.43 (Based on 40 hours worked per week) /Hourly SalaryCertified- $17.22-$25.83 (Based on 40 hours worked per week) / Hourly SalaryShift: There are a variety of shifts available for this role- full time andpart time. Please identify your preferences in the questions within theapplication.Make an ImpactQualifications:Non Certified-High School DiplomaCertified:Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.Experience: One-year Sterile Processing Technician experience orEquivalency: Completion of a Sterile Processing Technician or SurgicalTechnologist programCertification(s): CBSPD Certified Sterile Processing and DistributionTechnician (CSPDT) or Sterile Processing Technician (SPT) or IAHCSMMCertified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST)Job Highlights:Performs all essential equipment processing functions including issuing outall par levels that have been set for the floors.Performs decontamination functions for all durable medical equipment, aswell as, surgical instruments from the Operating Room (OR).Performs Sterile Processing functions with a variety of types of sterilizationmethods.Participates in professional education and growth opportunities within SterileProcessing. Maintains certifications and stays up to date with current trendsin field.Precepts new employees.Participates in departmental, divisional, and/or organizationalcommittees and projects as assigned.Acts as a role model for other team members.
