Job Title: Material Handler/Stand Up Forklift Operator

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Material Handler to join our team. As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for line-side delivery and pick-up, maintaining truck wells, organizing pallets, managing cardboard waste, and other housekeeping tasks. This position requires maintaining and controlling the movement of stock from warehouse locations to the production floor and ensuring the organization of customer containers. This fast-paced role is crucial in supporting the production floor throughout the shift.

Responsibilities

Support the production floor by ensuring timely delivery and pick-up of materials.

Maintain and control the movement of stock from warehouse locations to the production floor and finished goods to proper locations.

Organize customer containers to and from the production line.

Dump scrap materials and maintain truck wells.

Organize pallets and manage cardboard waste.

Perform miscellaneous duties as required.

Essential Skills

2 years of warehouse experience.

Material handling skills.

Experience with order picking and stand up forklifts.

Proficiency in shipping and receiving.

Inventory management skills.

Ability to use RF scanners, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment.

Additional Skills Qualifications

Experience with stand up electric forklifts.

Possession of a chauffeur's license.

Work Environment

Our facility is located at 1201 Building and is equipped with automated tube benders, welder machines, ABB and material handling robots, conveyors, and Allen Bradley/Siemens/Beckhoff PLCs. We manufacture metal exhaust systems for automotive manufacturers, involving tube bending, tube assembly, and shipping. The environment is fast-paced, clean, and some areas may be louder than others due to machinery. You must comply with all PPE and safety requirements, including wearing steel-toe shoes at all times. We provide safety glasses, gloves, and hearing protection.

Job Type Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Troy, Michigan.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
