What you will do

　　You will work in Open Table Format project that's aims to provide the ability to read and write Iceberg data sets via Teradata Engine.

　　Who you will work with

　　You will be part of the team that worked to enable Teradata on public cloud,to handle datasets on object stores S3, Azure.

　　The team was instrumental in designing and developing Cloud DDL, DML, Filter techniques to reduce IOs,

　　Metadata collection for fewer file access, ability to read and write parquet files, read csv and json files,

　　support indexes to improve performance of joins.

　　What Makes You a Qualified Candidate

　　You should have software design and development experience in database technology, familiar with data lake house architecture and worked on few projects in SQL engine of cloud eco system.

　　What You will bring

　　Bachelor’s degree or Master's in Computer science.

　　10 yrs. of experience in Database technology, Distributed/Parallel/High Performance/Fault Tolerant Computer Software, data structures and algorithms.

　　Proven record in completing/delivering features.

　　Strong verbal and written communication skills

　　Strong interpersonal skills and strong teamwork.

　　Strong problem solving and debugging skills

　　Strong C/C++ programming

　　An active PMC (Project Management Committee) or Committer to open sources like Apache Iceberg, Apache Hudi, Parquet, Spark, Hive, Delta, Presto, Trino, and Avro

　　Experience with object storage solutions

　　Experience with cloud-based development and systems.

　　Experience with SQL and database technologies including a thorough understanding of database logical and physical design concepts
