The Senior Director / Director of Business Development will be a senior member of Paylocity’s Strategy & Business Development team with direct responsibility for driving the development and execution of the company’s overarching Channel and International Payroll strategies. You will partner closely with senior leaders across the organization to drive strategic alignment and ensure our corporate strategy is executed against to drive key business objectives. This is a highly visible role with extensive cross-functional interaction and C-Suite exposure.
Job Responsibilities
Channel Strategy
Responsible for Paylocity’s overarching channel strategy and the development of scalable processes to recruit, onboard and manage top channel partners
Design, launch and optimize current and new channel partner programs that create a recurring source of business while expanding Paylocity’s market reach and delivering value to partners
Lead cross-functional initiatives with Sales, Marketing, Operations & Product to drive execution and optimize GTM and service activities
Work collaboratively with a diverse set of functional and business leaders to drive focus and required level of investment
International Payroll
Drive cross-functional execution of Paylocity’s international payroll strategy with direct oversight of Paylocity’s global network of in country payroll providers (ICPs)
Work collaboratively with senior leaders across Sales, Marketing, Operations and Product to design and deploy scalable GTM and service models that create value for our customers
Act as an executive sponsor for global partners, as needed, to expand partnerships, streamline processes, evangelize vision & roadmap, and negotiate terms
Requirements
This position is ideal for a strategic leader with exceptional problem-solving and communication skills, a track record of working cross-functionally to drive new vectors of growth, and proven ability to influence key stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
7-10+ years of experience with direct experience working for a high-growth technology company in a Corporate Strategy, Strategic Partnerships and/or Business Development role
2+ years of experience in professional services (Management Consulting or Investment Banking)
Bachelor’s degree from accredited school (MBA preferred)
Experience developing GTM strategies including partner communications, joint marketing, sales training and incentives, lead qualification and referral processes, and reporting
Experience in global payroll models with current knowledge of key players, service models and core offerings, and needs of US based payroll clients
Strong executive presence and demonstrated leadership skills, great judgment, superior analytical skills, and ability to effectively present to large and small groups
Proven ability to influence C-level executives while balancing competing priorities between external partners and internal teams
Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders

This role can be performed from any office in the US. The pay range for this position is $180 - $240 /yr; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This position is eligible for an annual bonus and restricted stock unit grant based on individual performance in addition to a full range of benefits outlined here.
