Job Summary
The Chang and Charlton Lab is looking for a Staff Scientist to work onthe conduct, analysis and interpretation of large genomic datasets forresearch projects aimed at understanding the contribution of gutmicrobiota to metabolic and intestinal diseases.
Responsibilities
Plans, executes, facilitates and advances technical/scientificresearch projects, with a focus on metabolic dysfunction associatedsteatotic liver disease.Designs, develops and executes experimental protocols for research,including empirical protocols, computational, statistical methods,etc.Collaborates with other researchers as appropriate.May take on lab-wide responsibilities such as mouse colonymanagement.Participates in the preparation and writing of grant applicationsand reports, and co-authors scientific research manuscripts.May supervise other research staff.May present work at scientific meetings, and provide peer review ofgrant applications and scientific manuscripts.The individual in this role will be involved in all aspects of thedesign, development, implementation, and analysis of researchprojects focused on inflammatory bowel/metabolic disease.Serves as a resource for collecting data and performing analysis.Facilitates and promotes a research project by providing scientificor intellectual information.Develops laboratory protocols and training on new techniques.Manage, analyze and make recommendations on complex data sets forresearch.Performs other related work as needed.Minimum Qualifications
