Description
Under the guidance of the Principal Investigator and supervision of the Project Scientist, you will provide technical support to multiple members of the research team on projects investigating the molecular genetics of Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD).
Job duties include coordinating biomaterial shipments with external collaborators; extracting DNA and RNA; maintaining biomaterial archives using a barcode-based inventory system and preparing samples for downstream analyses; performing PCR; basic data quality control; and maintaining a database of experimental results. You should have basic wet lab skills, be at ease with computers and new technology, and enjoy tasks that demand attention to detail.
Pay Range: $24.88 - $29.67 HourlyQualifications
B.S. or equivalent in related field - strongly preferred.
One year or more of wet lab experience outside of the classroom strongly preferred.
Once year or more of experience with tissue culture or RNA preferred.
Background or interest in computer programming is desired.
HIPPA and Human Subjects certification.
