Aging and People with Disabilities (APD), part of the Oregon Departmentof Human Services, is seeking dedicated and compassionate individualsfor Adult Protective Service Investigators in one of our ClackamasCounty, Oregons\' offices. After a successful initial training period of6 (six) months at the Oregon City office these individuals may work outof any of the 4 (four) APD offices in Clackamas County: Canby, Estacada,Milwaukie, or Oregon City. This position receives, screens andinvestigates reports concerning abuse, neglect and exploitationcommitted against older adults and adults with physical disabilities.Investigations occur in community-based long term care facilities andthe community at large. Investigators will also provide plans of safetyand prevention to mitigate current and/or future incidents of abuse,neglect, or exploitation. Investigators make referrals and/or work withcommunity partners as components of Adult Protective Services. WHAT YOUNEED TO QUALIFY/MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: A Bachelor\'s Degree in thehuman, social, behavioral or criminal sciences and two (2) years humanservice, law enforcement or investigative experience; OR An Associate\'sDegree in the human, social, behavioral or criminal sciences and four(4) years human service, law enforcement or investigative experience.Three years professional level experience related to the position maysubstitute for the Bachelor\'s degree; 18 months for an Associates.
