Description

The Staff Accountant will be responsible for performing financial reconciliations, ensuring accuracy in financial records, and utilizing advanced Excel skills to analyze and report data. This role requires strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and proficiency in Excel to support month-end close processes and maintain the integrity of financial statements.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform daily, weekly, and monthly account reconciliations (e.g., bank accounts, general ledger accounts, and intercompany transactions).

Investigate and resolve discrepancies in financial data.

Prepare and maintain detailed reconciliation reports and supporting documentation.

Utilize advanced Excel functions (e.g., VLOOKUP, PivotTables, macros, and formulas) to analyze large datasets and streamline processes.

Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities, including journal entries and financial reporting.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and timely financial data.

Requirements

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

1-3 years of accounting experience, with a focus on reconciliations.

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.

Experience with ERP systems (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) is a plus.

Excellent organizational and communication skills.
