Description

We are in search of a Staff Accountant to join our team in HARPER WOODS, Michigan. This role involves managing and processing various financial transactions, maintaining accurate financial records, and providing financial information by researching and analyzing accounts.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions

• Conduct regular bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial information

• Maintain and update the general ledger on a regular basis

• Use Yardi software for various accounting functions

• Review financial reports for accuracy and detail

• Analyze financial data and present financial reports in an accurate and timely manner

• Collaborate with the financial team to ensure all financial reporting deadlines are met

• Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly and year-end financial audits

• Maintain confidentiality of all financial data

• Contribute to a team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Requirements

• Possession of a bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in accounting or related field

• Experience in managing and maintaining a general ledger

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
