Description

Robert Half is seeking highly skilled and motivated Staff Accountants for ongoing opportunities with our esteemed clients. These roles will be responsible for supporting the corporate accounting team with various tasks, including preparing financial reports, processing transactions, supporting the corporate budget process and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

Responsibilities:

Assist in preparing monthly and annual financial statements

Reconciliation of general ledger accounts

Assist in annual audits

Review financial reports to identify and explain variances

Prepare and post journal entries

Support month-end and year-end close process

Ensure compliance with GAAP principles

Participate in budgeting processes

Provide assistance with other ad-hoc projects as needed

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

CPA or active pursuit of CPA certification preferred

Prior experience as a staff accountant or relevant role

Solid knowledge of basic and advanced accounting principles, tax compliance, and procedures

Proven analytical skills with detail orientation

Advanced competency in MS Office, databases and accounting software

Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize

Strong written and verbal communication skills
