Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented and driven Staff Accountant to join our team. The Staff Accountant will manage various accounting responsibilities, including preparing financial statements, reconciling accounts, analyzing financial data, and assisting with budgeting and forecasting. Previous experience in a non-profit setting is preferred. The role requires prior accounting experience and a solid ERP/systems background. This is an on-site position with the opportunity for contract-to-hire.

Responsibilities:

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

Conduct account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records.

Analyze financial data and trends to provide insights and recommendations to management.

Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes.

Ensure compliance with tax regulations by preparing and filing tax returns.

Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as required.

Assist in both internal and external audit processes.

Maintain documentation and ensure adherence to accounting policies and procedures.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve business goals.

Stay informed about accounting regulations and best practices

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Strong grasp of accounting principles and practices.

Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Capable of working independently and as part of a team.

Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.

Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational abilities.

Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
