Description Position Summary: IT Systems Administrator is responsible for the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of GESMN technology systems, servers, and infrastructure. This role assists with installation of infrastructure hardware, oversees enterprise-level applications, and participates in design, testing, and deployment of new technologies to keep up with the business needs of the organization. IT Systems Administrator also serves as an escalation point for the IT Service Desk and participates in the resolution of user, computer, and server issues across the organization. IT Operations: Oversee the day-to-day management of technology, infrastructure, applications, and operational processes required to provide the organization with IT services that meet or exceed service level targets. IT Systems Administration: Manage existing IT applications, systems, and services across the organization, as well as participate in the design and implementation of new technology as directed by functional needs. Opportunities for career development and advancement About You: Required Knowledge & Skills: Excellent customer service, verbal, and written communication skills. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong ability to support Microsoft products-including M365 and Azure. Strong ability to support all user IT devices, including laptops, tablets, desktop computers and mobile phones, as well as peripherals such as printers and monitors. Strong ability to diagnose network issues, server issues, and other enterprise-level system issues. Ability to provide rotating, on-call coverage per the GESMN IT Team On-Call Requirements. Understanding of VMware virtualization technologies. Understanding of enterprise-level server systems (both on-prem and cloud-based). Understanding of TCP/IP networking, common network infrastructure components (e.g., firewalls, routers, switches, etc.) and the function of common IP-based protocols (e.g., Telnet, FTP, SSH, DNS, DHCP, etc.). Understanding of various types of infrastructure monitoring and management tools (e.g., event capture, network diagnostic, performance, availability, packet-capture). High attention to detail. Prior Experience & Education: 3 years of relevant experience with a minimum of 2 years experience in a technical support role. Experience using infrastructure monitoring and management tools preferred. Experience in a POS (point-of-sale) system technical support role preferred. Experience working with IT Service Management software preferred. Associates Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience.
