Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Staff Accountant to join our clients finance team. The Staff Accountant will be responsible for supporting various accounting functions related to real estate transactions, financial reporting, and general ledger management.

Responsibilities:

Accounts Payable and Receivable: Process invoices, ensure timely payments, reconcile vendor statements, and manage collections as needed.

General Ledger Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the general ledger, including journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close activities.

Financial Reporting: Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports for internal and external stakeholders.

Budgeting and Forecasting: Support the budgeting and forecasting process by analyzing financial data, identifying trends, and providing insights to management.

Audit and Compliance: Collaborate with auditors and ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.

Financial Analysis: Perform variance analysis, cost-benefit analysis, and ad-hoc financial analysis to support decision-making.

Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, and efficiency enhancements within the finance function.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

2+ years of experience in accounting, preferably in the real estate industry.

Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Yardi) and Microsoft Excel.

Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
